D4: Partial Exam

In order to make a smooth start to the development part, we expect students to spend the first five weeks studying the Vue.js framework and the server's start code on their own.

A Leho quiz which tests if you have enough knowledge of the client will be available on the first day of the first project week.

On the same day there will be a server exam in which you will need to add some basic features to the start code of the server in a structured manner. A start repository will be available.

Pratical information

  • Date: 03/11/2025
  • Duration: 3,5 hours
  • Time: 09:00 until 12:30
  • Parts:
    • client exam - 50% (1,5 hour)
    • server exam - 50% (2 hours)

Evaluation

Each component will stand for 50% of the score for the deliverable D4.
The results will be published on Leho no later than two weeks after the examination, using letter grades:

  • A grade: 16/20 or more
  • B grade: 14-15/20
  • C grade: 12-13/20
  • D grade: 11-12/20
  • E grade: 7-8-9/20
  • F grade: 6/20 or less

If you scored an E or F, you must retake the exam(s) in January 2026, provided that you have passed all other deliverables.

Important

  • Any form of communication between students or other parties is strictly forbidden.
  • This is an individual exam. Any discovery of irregularity (e.g., phone use, peeking, copying, hacking, use of social media clients, etc.) will, in accordance with the Education and Examination Regulations (EER), result in notifying both the involved student(s) and the chairman of the examination committee.
  • After completing the exam, it is forbidden to publish the assignment or solution in any way other than the designated repository on gitlab.ti.howest.be.
  • Question-driven AI is forbidden.
  • Make sure all applications that could potentially open/start or be interpreted as an attempt at fraud (Outlook, Messenger, Facebook, etc.) are closed before the start of the exam!
